AGI Robots Are Coming! NVIDIA GR00T

NVIDIA launches Isaac GR00T, a comprehensive platform for humanoid robot development featuring the first public foundation model for robot skills. The system processes speech and images, offering specialized workflows for diverse movement and manipulation tasks.

With NVIDIA Isaac GR00T (Generalist Robot 00 Technology), the technology giant is redefining the future of humanoid robotics. GR00T is not just a single model, but a complete development platform for basic robot models.

At its core is GR00T N1, the first public generalized robot skills foundation model. What makes it special is that it processes multimodal input such as speech and images and can translate these into complex manipulation tasks.

The platform includes several specialized workflows such as GR00T-Teleop for teleoperation, GR00T-Mimic for synthetic motion generation, and GR00T-Dexterity for precise grasping. Particularly noteworthy is that large amounts of synthetic training data can be generated from just a few human demonstrations.

The technology is based on NVIDIA's Omniverse and Cosmos, supported by DGX Cloud for training and the new Jetson AGX Thor for deployment in the robot itself.

GR00T could dramatically reduce humanoid robot development cycles and revolutionize performance in areas such as material handling, packaging, and inspection. NVIDIA is thus further expanding its leading position in AI-driven robotics. Humanoid robots are coming. There is no going back.
