"This Week in AI" is now Superintelligence.
OpenAI Reveals Native Image Generation!
The TLDR
OpenAI introduces native image generation in GPT-4o, creating a unified system for text and visuals. The technology excels at rendering accurate text in images and processing complex multi-concept prompts simultaneously.
OpenAI's latest innovation promises a quantum leap in AI image generation! 4o Image Generation, introduced yesterday, is integrated directly into GPT-4o and, as “native” image generation, revolutionizes human-AI interaction.
“Native” image generation here means that the model processes text and image in a single system – instead of using separate models that only communicate with each other. This enables GPT-4o to seamlessly apply its comprehensive world knowledge to visual content. OpenAI particularly stands out due to its unparalleled text reproduction in images. While other generators often fail at producing readable text representations, 4o accurately generates street signs, menu cards or diagrams with correct text. The system also outperforms competitors in processing complex prompts with up to 20 different concepts simultaneously.
The technology also excels in context understanding – it can refine images during the conversation and use images uploaded by the user as reference, which significantly increases its applicability in professional contexts.
After Google recently presented Flash and in-house native image generation with Gemini 2.0, OpenAI is now following suit and showing what they can do!

Study shows: Omega 3 and Vitamin-D prolong life
Omega-3 fatty acids
alone had a small but significant effect on slowing down biological aging as measured by several DNA methylation clocks (PhenoAge, GrimAge2, DunedinPACE).
A combination of vitamin D, omega-3 and exercise (simple home exercise program) showed additive effects, especially on the PhenoAge clock.
Overall, the protective effect over the 3-year period was a biological rejuvenation of about 2.9 to 3.8 months.
The omega-3 effect was particularly pronounced in individuals with low omega-3 levels at baseline, indicating the importance of personalized nutritional strategies.
The results support the theory that targeted nutritional and lifestyle interventions can favorably influence aging processes through epigenetic changes.
